In June 2017 the new Maggies Oldham opened its doors. Built in the grounds of the hospital the centre provides a sanctuary for people living with cancer, something I have been through myself. The Architects sought me out as one who understood species, composition and materials. My challenge was to respond to the wooded landscape and ‘treehouse’ concept of the building; defining and painting the setting with colour, texture and all scales of planting. The garden will be featured on 'Gardeners World' TV series in July. See Potted & Planted for further potted garden ideas.
